Responsibilities

Salary : 55,000 - 60,000

  • Take direction from the Group Financial Controller on tasks across the finance function and see them through to completion, spanning AP, AR, financial accounting, management accounts, and analysis as required.
  • Review the work completed by existing finance team, balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, month-end reporting, analyze findings, and report back to the Group Financial Controller.
  • This role oversees that work and follows up on any items needing attention, rather than performing the processing itself.
  • Process payroll via ADP for three jurisdictions: UK (monthly), Australia (monthly), and US (fortnightly), including related items such as superannuation, workers' compensation, health insurance, and payroll deductions.
  • Prepare finance information and commentary as requested by the Group Financial Controller, including material to support tax return preparation; the Group Financial Controller retains direct contact with external tax agents, with the role gaining exposure and experience over time.
  • Support foreign currency payment processes.
  • Work on numerous projects within Ecosphere's ERP system – for example, setting up ADA/bank-import files across entities – taking instructions, carrying out initial investigation, and reporting back to the Group Financial Controller.
  • As trust and experience build, progress to preparing payment batches within the ERP system for the Group Financial Controller's review and bank approval.
  • Identify gaps and inefficiencies in current system usage and bring forward recommendations.
  • Be ready to take on a wide range of ad hoc finance tasks, from high-level analysis to hands-on administrative work, as priorities require. 

 

 

Requirements

  • Business degree required.
  • Freight forwarding industry experience preferred.
  • 5+ years Experience, CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification preferred; strong, proven hands-on finance experience will also be considered in place of formal qualification.
  • Working knowledge of CargoWise preferred.
  • Multi-jurisdiction accounting standards (e.g. US GAAP, UK GAAP, AASB) are not required.
  • Very keen attention to detail and high levels of initiative
  • Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English business communication skills
  • Full-time position available
  • Amenable to report onsite in either Ortigas, Pasig City
